EST . 2007

Morning Star Acres is a  farm located in Harcourt ,  New Brunswick, Canada. We are registered not for profit organisation (811810977NP0001) with the focus of helping horses of all breeds in need.

We provide many services including , but not limited to Rehabilitation , Retraining ,Relocation and  so much more.

Also working  closely with troubled youth and families in need of assitance or alternative to giving troubled youth a chance to look forward to some positive.

Morning Star Acres also offers barn management, training, consignments, retirement and the list goes on.

We  work hard with our program to assure every horse big or small gets the home they deserve.
Our program works to enforce a perfect match and we work hard with beginner families who are getting their first horse to experienced homes to assure the horse they are looking for is matched to their needs. Its about the horse not the money.

We also offer training to off track Standardbreds in order to give them that second chance in life.
Over the years we worked very closely with the local racetracks and come highly recommended.
Although we cannot always guarantee placement we certainly work hard to get each and every horse through our program a good knowledgeable home.

Morning Star Acres does not just take in Standardbreds. Our new 2019 soon to be announced reflects just that.....

We do specialize in the  Standardbred breed but do take in horses in needs. Big or small..... Be sure to visit our available horses page...

We are proud to announce that Morning Star Acres Inc. is now registered with Standardbred Canada as a non breeding - non racing facility. Any horse coming through our program will now need to sign over ownership and said ownership will be then transferred to MSA . This condition is for all horses with registration papers.

Official members -Morning Star Acres Inc. is 0B3010

Truro Raceway - Saint John Raceway-Fredericton Raceway-Inverness and Sydney  just to name a few. We have also dealt with P.E.I and Newfoundland Standardbred owners.

Please check our available Standardbreds page for any available horses.

Over the years Our Motto has been

" There is LIFE after the Racetrack"

"Have you hugged your standardbred today."

The 5R's -Recycle/Rescue/Rehabilitate/Retrain/Re-home.

Where second chances happen.

Morning Star Acres is where people and horses come together.

*****OUR NEW MOTTO AS OF 2019 : " It's all about the horses not the breed "

2017 Cape Breton Tour

Picture compliments of Tan Ratchford Photography

Our 10th anniversary in 2017 involved our annual visit to Northside Downs in North Sydney,NS involving bringing back a track favorite but this time under saddle . Dusty Lane Lass performed very well and was applauded by owners/friends/audience at Northside that day.

It also reflected the retirement of a track favorite who was well know to holding track record there for a very long time.

Shifty Shadow retired and came to Morning Star Acres for his retirement and to be retrained to saddle to later find a good home. 2 champions in their days reflected in this picture.

The very first race owner who brought
a horse to our facility and program
to come back and actually ride and be
up on their horse after racing them.
Matt Dodington swords were feels odd
as I used to stare at her butt but now
as I sit here I am looking down on her
and see her head.
A wonderful feeling  !!!

Car has gone back to her owners. Congrats to the Dodington Family.

Thank you for your support.

Morning Star Acres has its very own Equine Obstacle Course to help train horses in desensitization and more. Built and designed by MSA Owner/Founder Gisele Gariepy. It is built in order to be able to work horses on the ground and also under saddle. Each obstacle has a special job for the horses.

The obstacle course is open to the public or anyone who wants to come lease it by the hour to introduce or desensitize their horse.  The fee which will go right back to the horses is $50/hour per horse.  No more than a group of 3 at a time. Reduce rate by group  3 horses  $125/hour. We will not accommodate a pasture nor hay but will be sure horses have access to water.. Bring your horses to this fabulous Obstacle course.  Located only 35 minutes from Moncton.
